Do hair, urine, and blood test have the same accuracy in finding out of drug consumption?

my friend got drug tested today by hair sample and he wants to know if it would be the same accuracy as the other two. Hes is frightend because of secondhand marijuana somke.

Your friend's "contact high" might get him into trouble. Hair is like a time capsule for drugs. Marijuana used up to a month or possibly longer will show up in a strand of hair. Marijuana is actually metabolized by (and leaves) your body much sooner than that, though, so a urine or blood test would not have the same issue.

Let's just put it like this: ANYTHING you put in your body is going to grow out in your hair!

Do hair, urine, and blood test have the same accuracy in finding out of drug consumption?

yes. but not with second hand smoke. only a possible chance of a u.a.

I don't have any professional qualifications but in my opinion, hair samples are only used for DNA testing, not drugs. Think about it. Body fluids vs. a non-living peice of hair?

No they don't. If you have a choice take the blood test or at least the hair test. Urine screens give way to many false positives. Common cold medicine or Herbal teas will cause a false positive in urine drug screen.

Hair samples are more accurate than the other two and it can detect for up to six months of him smoking or being around marijuana. With Urine drug screens you can just drink bunches and bunches of water and get a negative result at times. But urine and blood test only detect it for about 2 - 3 weeks from the time you smoke and not so much just second hand smoke.

Drugs can be detected in hair for far longer than blood or urine, but I really can't say if second hand smoke will show up in test.

Blood is most accurate, then urine, not sure about hair sample.

Basically, your friend might just be S.O.L.

Hair is very accurate, and the results of what you have done last longer in hair than in anything else, unless you cut it .

Its will be there until then.

So, NEVER TAKE A HAIR SAMPLE over something else .

Not sure about the second hand smoke thing...

But accuracy is HAIR -a few months worth of usage can be detected, BLOOD a month or so can be detected and URINE a few weeks or so can be detected but URINE is the test that is easily swayed by other factors depending upon the test used. Their are some great urine tests that give good screens and a dirty screen has cost people their job.

If your friend took even one hit or drag the hair sample is going to tell on him. If i were him I would quit the job so that his current employer doesnt have to tell someone he was let go because of a dirty screen

I hope this helps

Hair folical testing is the most accurate........

Ask your friend if he can say.." Can I have an application please?"

Good luck!

Hair analysys is extremely accurate ine can even tell the time interval between taking the drug and the time of the sample taken.

All three methods are effective. As for claiming to be in the vicinity of second hand smoke, forget it! This test determines the amount ingested into the body via the lungs and passed into the blood. Second hand smoke will have many of the chemicals already absorbed by the primary inhaler and the amount of Co2 exhaled and reabsorbed. in other words if he is being tested for use he's screwed!
