Such as, how long you have to be clean for it to test clean? I quit smoking pot about a month ago, and I'm wanting to apply for a job, but I know they do follicle testing, how long should I wait?

Folicle tests go back a loooong time. Shave your head and you *might* not test hot.
The reason employers love these tests is that there are no proven means of fooling the testing medium.
If it was a simple urine test, a megadose of B vitamins would often fool the test into thinking you had not metabolites in your system.
Hair test doesn't have this defect, and will show ALL drugs you have been doing for as long as that hair has been growing. Another thing I have heard (not yet seen it proven) is that they can differentiate between a once a year casual user and the five blunts a day burnout.

i know they are a lot more like specific then a piss test but not sure how long you have to wait just drink a lot of water everyday and you`ll probably pass

If in fact they do follicle testing, it is hard to beat, as the data stays in there for a long time, and it doesn't have to be a hair from your head. Full body wax, anyone? Ouch. Most companies do not do this because of the expense and other issues, when a simple urine screen can catch most of the culprits. Perhaps if they are that concerned of your past drug use, you should seek employment elsewhere.

hair follical testing can determin how long you have been using drugs. hair grows appx 1/2 a month so the test can show if you stopped and then started again
